Direct-to-fan & superfans · Lesson 4 of 6
Merch that sells because it means something
Merch is usually the highest-margin thing an independent artist sells, and the difference between a table that clears out and one that goes home full is rarely quality. It is whether the item means something — a lyric, an in-joke, a piece of the record's artwork — rather than a logo on a blank.
What you’ll be able to do
- Design merch people want to wear, not just branded stock
- Choose between print-on-demand and holding stock
- Price for a margin that survives postage
- Time drops so they land when attention is high
