How to get your song on Spotify playlists
Pitch your song to Spotify's editors for free, before it comes out. Here's how, step by step.

1. Upload early
Upload your song to LUCY with a release day 3 to 4 weeks away. Spotify only lets you pitch a song that hasn't come out yet.
2. Claim Spotify for Artists
It's free. It's where you see your upcoming song and send your pitch.
3. Pitch one song
Pick the song from your upcoming release and fill in the genre, mood and instruments. Say in a few lines what the song is about and why now.
4. Pitch 7 days before, at least
Pitch 7 or more days before release day and the song also goes onto your followers' Release Radar.
5. Get people to save it
Share one link where fans can save the song. Saves and repeat plays are what bring Discover Weekly and Radio.
6. Never pay for a playlist spot
Paid playlists often use fake plays. Spotify can remove your song for it, and fake plays earn nothing.
